Let's talk!
Be the parent you want to be!
a certified parent coach from the JAI Institute for Parenting.
For every parent who chooses to work with me, I strive to create a safe environment based on trust and confidentiality. Without judgment or guilt, our collaboration will offer you acceptance, understanding, support and guidance to help you achieve your personal parenting goals.
In addition to being a parenting coach, I’m also Iris’ mom. Living abroad, I know first-hand how parenting can sometimes make us feel alone, isolated and insecure. It’s so important for parents to have a supportive environment!
Parent coaching is my passion and my way of contributing to making our world a little better!
Any change that we want to see starts with ourselves.
It is my true belief that every child has the right to become his or her authentic self!
This can only be done by working with parents and giving them the support, acceptance and understanding they deserve. We live in a society that is not made for parents and children. The demands are many, and the support is minimal!
I believe that a person’s growth can continue for as long as they wish. I am someone who is searching for my most authentic self, and I deeply believe that both the soul and the body deserve equal care from us.
Child development, the latest advancements in neuroscience and psychology regarding children and parents are among my favorite topics. My journey in parent coaching took shape when I had my daughter. I wanted to learn everything about parenting and child development. I felt that the best way to raise my child properly and respect my child was by becoming better myself.
One day, my husband gave me a copy of Janet Lansbury’s “There Are No Bad Kids” as a present. The moment I finished the book I wanted to share it with the whole world! A new world unfolded before me, and since then, I haven’t stopped learning, reading, working, and striving for a moment.
The way I see children is through the lens that all children deserve to feel capable and important, to feel accepted and valued for what they really can do – not for what we think they should be able to do. I wish all children could feel that mistakes are part of life and help us grow, that there are no good or bad feelings, that their voice matters, and that true joy comes from within.
So through Janet Lansbury I learned about Emmi Pikler and about Magda Gerber’s educational philosophy about the upbringing of infants and toddlers. Magda Gerber founded RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) in the United States, where I received my first certification by completing the RIE® Foundations: Theory and Observation course. The philosophy of RIE® integrates findings from neuroscience and attachment theory into its approach. Magda Gerber’s method aims to help parents and caregivers build stable, healthy and secure relationships with infants and toddlers, nurturing their natural abilities from the very first day of life.
My training continued with my certification as a Parent Coach from the JAI Institute for Parenting. This approach focuses on the principles of respectful, positive, non-violent parenting based on psychology and neuroscience.
Through empathy, active listening, and the use of healthy boundaries without threats or punishment, I have been trained to support parents. The goal is to help them understand and respond effectively to their children’s needs, fostering trust, cooperation, respect, and communication.
My approach focuses on respecting, understanding, and responding to children’s needs and feelings. At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of self-care and self-awareness for every parent. It is based on attachment theory, emotional intelligence, nonviolent communication, and the science of the nervous system, brain, and neuroplasticity.
